About the project

Loves Me, Loves Me Not is my first vibe coding project: a cosy, browser-based take on the classic flower-petal game. I started by thinking through the features it needed and made the design. Then I built the game with Claude Code, in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, without a framework. You pull petals off an illustrated flower one by one; each petal flips between "loves me" and "loves me not", until the last petal decides.

Loves Me, Loves Me Not

  • Pluck a petal by pulling it outwards; let go too early and it snaps back. Works with mouse and touch.

  • Every flower is unique: petal count, shape, colour and thickness are randomised per flower.

  • A plucked petal drifts down with physics, and the background changes with "loves me" or "loves me not".

  • Choose she, he or they, with a soft pluck sound generated right in the browser.
